Volunteers are invaluable members of our extended care team. We are always welcoming volunteers who bring cheerful smiles and helping hands to make a difference in the lives of our residents. All volunteers, in both individual participation and group activities, are accepted and greatly appreciated.

- Concierge Services – escorts to programs, hair salon, Good Life Fitness, Walking Paths
- Spiritual Opportunities – communion, prayer, massage therapy
- Resident Visits – Spend some time reading, playing games, cards, baking or any activity that brings joy to our residents.
- Recreation Assistant – Assist our staff in programs such as BINGO, Social Hour, Music Programs, escorts on out trips.
- Gardening Club – Assist our residents in creating and cultivating our outdoor Gardens (vegetables, herbs, flowers).
- Pet Therapy – Do you have certified pets that would love to visit our residents? We love visits from dogs, cats, bunnies, and other friendly visitors.
- Student Internships available – Whether you are looking for a career in Social Services, Human Services, Nursing, Recreation, Administration, Dining – we would love to share our philosophy with you.
Available Volunteer Opportunities
Beautician Assistant
Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from 9:30 am-12:00.
Responsibilities include assisting residents to and from hairdresser and providing manicures to residents waiting for their appointments.

Student Internship
Jerome Home and Arbor Rose welcome high school students at least 16 years old and college students who are seeking opportunities to learn and grow in the health care field. Focus areas of service include undergraduate students in human services, social work, recreation therapy and music therapy. High school and college students must be willing to commit to a minimum of 60 hours over a three-month period. Students will have an individualized training program outlined for them and will have the opportunity to experience and partner with varying professionals in the health care field. Volunteers to Interact with Our Residents
Arbor Rose is seeking volunteers who enjoy interacting with seniors. We are looking for volunteers for the following activities:
- Run a craft group
- Organize our library
- Bingo caller
- Resident visits
- Assist residents on a weekly shopping trip
- Card players
- Or any special interest or talent you would like to share

Times needed: Friday afternoons 2 to 3 pm; Saturday mornings 10:30 to 11:15 am
Volunteer needed with set-up, calling clean-up and assisting residents to and from program.
